Rita-May Rahme was born and raised in London and completed her education in Cyprus and Beirut, earning a B.A. in Political Science and an M.A. in International Security Studies from the University of Leicester.
Rita-May worked as a consultant at the UNODC in Vienna. She subsequently moved to Lebanon where she worked at LAU on the USAID Scholarship Program, a program funded by the US Embassy which provides educational opportunities to students in developing countries. She continued to work as a project manager with ACD where she worked on projects aimed at empowering women in the Middle East.
Rita-May also possesses an entrepreneurial spirit. She is the founder and owner of a luxury eco-conscious e-commerce business which has expanded to Qatar, Beirut and Cyprus.
She speaks 5 languages and has a passion for the arts and civic engagement.
Rita-May currently resides in Limassol Cyprus with her husband and two children.
